Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation "Almaty" joined the UN Global Compact. This implies adherence to the principles and values of sustainable development in the areas of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
- Joining this initiative confirms the commitment of SEC "Almaty" to consistent implementation of the ten universal principles of the UN Global Compact in its activities. These include principles of respect for human rights, environmental protection, zero tolerance for corruption and others. The activities of the participants are aimed at applying common approaches to achieve social and sustainable development goals," said Arman Shamshin, Chairman of the Management Board of SEC "Almaty" JSC.
As part of its commitment, the Social Entrepreneurship Corporation will also report annually on its performance in complying with the UNGC principles.
In the current year, SEC "Almaty" pays special attention to corporate governance and sustainable development, demonstrating its responsibility to society and the environment. Joining this ambitious initiative will allow SEC to position itself as a socially responsible and ethical organization for customers, investors and other stakeholders.
As a reminder, the UN Global Compact is the world's largest voluntary initiative in the area of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Today it brings together more than 20,000 participants from 160 countries.
