A fair of agricultural producers of vegetable products, namely onions, was held in Zhambyl region, where representatives of SEC took part as well as local executive bodies of the regions of the country, and representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This event was organized in order to negotiate direct supplies of vegetables (onions) and contract volumes of products to stabilize prices during the off-season.
As part of the agricultural fair, participants visited onion planting fields and vegetable storage facilities.
Also, a meeting was held under the leadership of Mr. Abildabekov, Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the issue of prices for socially important food products and conclusion of Memorandums/agreements with producers of the region on direct supplies of socially important food products.
As a result of a two-day visit to Zhambyl region, SEC "Almaty" and peasant farms signed Memorandums of Mutual Cooperation on direct supplies of onions to the counters of Almaty in the amount of 1,000 tons at a fixed price.
