SEC "Almaty" held a meeting with the participation of regional SECs, agricultural producers and large retail chains.
The meeting was attended by the Heads of regional SECs: "Almaty", "Konayev" and "Zhetisu", Almaty Department of Entrepreneurship and Investments, domestic producers, as well as representatives of Toimart, Magnum, Small & Skif and other store chains.
The participants discussed a number of topical issues, including the development of Almaty agglomeration, realization of socially important food products (polished rice, beef meat, dairy products, eggs of 1 category, sunflower oil) at single fixed prices in trade networks in Almaty and Almaty region.
In addition, SEC "Almaty" presented possible support measures for regional producers, such as forward contracts, preferential loans, participation in weekend fairs and assistance in organizing direct deliveries to retail chains.
Also, within the framework of interregional cooperation, SEC "Almaty" will assist in attracting bakeries of Almaty to participate in the mechanisms of price containment for pan bread and ensuring its realization in the territory of Almaty region.
During the meeting the project on construction of modern vegetable storage with storage capacity of 7,500 tons of products on the territory of Almaty region at the expense of private investments was also presented. This project will reduce logistics costs for retailers during the off-season, which will help reduce prices on the shelves.
