In order to develop sustainable foreign trade relations and ensure the food security of Almaty, SEC Almaty held working meetings with exporters and agricultural producers of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the visit, direct contacts were established with producers and exporters of food products, as well as familiarization with the schedule, list and volumes of possible supplies of agricultural products from the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan to Kazakhstan.
The key result of the negotiations was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between SEC Almaty, the Almaty City Office of Entrepreneurship and Investment and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tajikistan. The document is aimed at developing a long-term partnership and expanding food supplies within the framework of regional food security.
The parties also discussed promising projects for the joint construction of a regional distribution center in Almaty, which will optimize logistics and ensure stable supplies of agricultural products to the metropolis.
The concluded agreements create the basis for the formation of a stable system of mutual supplies that supports food security and price stability for socially important goods for the population of Almaty.
