As part of ensuring food security and preventing the growth of prices for granulated sugar in Almaty, SEC "Almaty" started selling sugar in "Magnum" Retail Chain and in "JLC" Convenience Stores at a selling price not exceeding KZT 418 per 1 kg. The total volume supplied is 3,000 tons.
For reference: the average market price in Almaty for granulated sugar, according to the Bureau of National Statistics on 24.10.2023 is KZT 430 per one kg, and KZT 425 per one kg throughout Kazakhstan.
