“Over the past few days, we have launched 7 new Turkish projects in Kazakhstan, including today two factories in Almaty. Our country has close ties with Turkey; it is one of the major investors in Kazakhstan. Today, about 3.5 thousand companies with Turkish capital are actively working in our republic. The volume of direct investments from Turkey to Kazakhstan is currently $ 350 million. This level has remained stable in the past year, despite the pandemic. Note that there are many small and medium-sized companies among Turkish investors. The importance of building these two plants is due to the growth of our construction industry. So, for example, last year Kazakhstan introduced about 15 million sq.metres new area, and this year it is planned for 17 million square meters. Meanwhile, we do not have enough building materials of our own production. For example, sandwich panels using the new technology are not yet produced in Kazakhstan. The construction of these factories will reduce the cost of building materials, ”said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almas Aidarov.

To date, more than 50 investment projects have been successfully implemented in Kazakhstan with the participation of investors from Turkey. At the same time, comprehensive assistance to Turkish partners in the implementation of the above investment projects was provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Turkey, NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC and local executive bodies represented by the Akimat of Almaty, SEC Almaty, and the Industrial Zone of Almaty.
