A large-scale modernization of a paving slab and concrete curbstoneplant has been carried out in the Almaty Industrial Zone. The totalinvestment amounted to 1.2 billion tenge, of which 25% was financedby the investor's own funds (SK Rakhat LLP), and 75% was provided byborrowed capital under the Damu Fund subsidy program. This wasreported by the Almaty Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment.
As part of the project, modern equipment from leading globalmanufacturers was purchased: a line for the production of small-piececoncrete products HESS Group (Germany), a ROTHO-Stabil productcuring chamber (Germany), a VR-80 vertical strapping machine and anRA100 automatic wrapping machine (Italy), as well as polymer-coatedtechnological pallets (Poland).
It should be noted that the launch of the first production line of HessMaschinenbrik GmbH took place in May 2023. By the end of 2024, theplant produced 153 thousand square meters of paving slabs, with anaverage monthly volume of 9 thousand square meters, which was 36% of the design capacity.
The modernization will increase output to 25 thousand square meters permonth when working in one shift. In case of switching to a two-shiftmode, the enterprise will be able to significantly increase volumes. Full automation of the production process ensured an increase in productquality, a decrease in cost due to the scale effect and optimization ofcosts for raw materials, materials and labor.
The design capacity of the enterprise: autoclaved aerated concrete - 180 thousand cubic meters per year, reinforced concrete products - 750 thousand square meters per year. All products are manufactured inaccordance with current GOSTs and are made mainly from local rawmaterials. Previously, the limiting factor for the plant was incompleteautomation - some production operations, including curing, collectionand storage of products, were performed manually. Now all processesare fully automated, which has allowed us to take production to a newlevel.
