Almaty entrepreneurs received preferential financing in the amount of 52.7 billion tenge

Since 2019, within the framework of the Almaty Business – 2025 program, Almaty entrepreneurs have received preferential financing in the amount of 52.7 billion tenge. This made it possible to support 774 business projects and create more than 6,000 jobs. Financing is provided through Almaty Finance LLP and MFO Almaty at the rate of 2% and 6% per annum. Berik Kusainov, Chairman of the Board of Almaty Finance LLP, told about this at a press conference of the Regional Communications Service of Almaty.

The program was approved by the Maslikhat of Almaty and is aimed at developing micro, small and medium-sized businesses, as well as increasing the availability of financing. As part of the initiative, entrepreneurs can receive preferential loans for up to 7 years. The 2% rate applies to socially vulnerable categories of the population, and the 6% rate applies to all other SMEs.

The maximum loan amount for 2025 is up to 500 million tenge in Almaty Finance and up to 78.64 million tenge in the MFO Almaty. The funds are allocated for the purchase of equipment, raw materials, replenishment of working capital and other business tasks.

Special attention is paid to industrial, innovative, export-oriented projects, as well as initiatives in the creative industry and small industrial parks. During the implementation of the program, 18 such parks were built.

Berik Kusainov noted that the Almaty Business 2025 program also supports businesses in the fields of healthcare, education, tourism, sports, services and social entrepreneurship. In just 9 months of 2025, 70 projects worth 9.8 billion tenge were financed, 793 jobs were created.

Of the 52.7 billion tenge allocated for financing, 25.6 billion tenge came from the budget and was effectively used by the revolving mechanism. The largest number of projects have been implemented in Bostandyk (152), Alatau (149), Almaly (97), Medeu (93) districts.

One of the recipients of preferential financing was the AZMK Group, which manufactures bridge structures. The first tranche of 250 million tenge has already been implemented for the purchase of new equipment. The second tranche of 230 million tenge is under development

"Thanks to the Almaty Business program. Thanks to her, we took out a loan at 6 percent and purchased laser equipment, machine tools and automatic welding systems for our subsidiary Temir ZHB LLP. All the equipment is already installed and working. And this allowed us to increase the productivity of the plant three times, and the number of employees increased by 25%. Many thanks to the Akimat of Almaty and programs such as Almaty Business, which helps to develop the city's industry and improve the quality of products from factories and other enterprises," says Yerik Zheksebayev, Director of Innovation at AZMK Group.

The Almaty Business program continues to contribute to the sustainable development of the city's economy, opening up new opportunities for Almaty entrepreneurs.
