70 billion tenge allocated in Almaty for business support in 2025

In 2025, 70 billion tenge was allocated from the budget for subsidizing, guaranteeing and crediting businesses in Almaty, of which 52.8 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget and 17.2 billion tenge from the republican budget. This is reported in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investments of Almaty.

As of March 1 of this year, 197 projects were supported for a total loan amount of 18.8 billion tenge. Within the framework of a Single comprehensive program, 135 projects worth a loan of 16.6 billion tenge were financed through subsidizing and guaranteeing instruments. Of these, funds for subsidies amounted to 30 billion tenge, 100 projects – for 14.8 billion tenge.

The volume of allocated funds for the guarantee instrument reached 1.6 billion tenge, 35 projects – by 1.8 billion tenge. 200 million tenge has been allocated for grants, and the competition is planned to be held by the end of 2025. In general, the budget of the Unified Integrated Program through subsidy and guarantee instruments in 2025 amounted to 31.8 billion tenge.

Within the framework of the regional program "Almaty Business – 2025" this year, projects are being financed at the expense of revolving funds from the previous period, 8 projects were financed for a total loan amount of 0.3 billion tenge.

Also, together with the Damu Foundation, within the framework of the Jana Business regional program, preferential loans are issued in the amount of up to 100 million tenge. Including for small industrial parks – 500 million tenge, the loan term is up to 7 years, at a rate of 7%. In order to increase the efficiency of trading operations, the Jana Business program provides for the possibility of financing factoring transactions at a rate of 9.5% per annum. Since the beginning of the year, 54 projects worth 1.9 billion tenge have been supported under the Jana Business program.
