Agricultural producers presented more than a thousand products at the traditional socialfair in Almaty, 24kz reports. Prices at the fair in Almaly, Auezov, Bostandyk, Zhetysuand Medeu districts were 20% lower than at the market.
About 900 tons of goods were sold at the two-day fair. The purpose of such a fair is toprovide favorable prices to the residents of the city, allowing local farmers to sell sociallysignificant food products.
Farida Mugdatova, farmer: "Raspberries were planted for the first time this year, andthey gave a good harvest. We collected one and a half tons of raspberries. Potatoes arenow 200 tenge, 180 tenge. Carrots cost 180 tenge, beets - 180 tenge. The vegetablesare going well, it's the season. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants are going well."
