The organizer of weekend fairs, the Almaty Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation (SEC Almaty), continues to expand the geography of their holding.
A new fairground will be opened in Almaly district in August. In addition, the fair will open in Zhetysu district.
To date, fairs operate in five districts of Almaty: Almaly, Auezov, Bostandyk, Medeu and Alatau. With the opening of new outlets, residents of the city will have more opportunities to purchase fresh and natural food at affordable prices — directly from farmers and producers.
Currently, the products of 328 agricultural producers are presented at the fairs — from fresh vegetables and fruits to meat and dairy products, pastries, honey, dried fruits and natural bee products.
All goods come from farms and private farms in the Almaty region — Karasai, Ili, Talgar, Zhambyl and Enbekshikazakh districts, as well as from suppliers from Almaty.
On average, over 800 tons of products are sold at fairs in one weekend. Fairs are held on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 18:00:
More than 45,000 residents and visitors visit the fairs every week.
