Subsidiary farms, family apiaries, home bakeries. Who is represented at the weekend fairs in Almaty

320 agricultural producers from Almaty and the suburbs of the Almaty region are taking part in weekend fairs in the metropolis.

Vegetables and fruits, including potatoes, cabbage, onions, carrots, apples and pears, are represented by 80 participants.

Meat products — mutton, beef and horse meat — are supplied by 65 farms from Karasai, Ili, Talgar and Zhambyl districts of the Almaty region.

64 producers offer chicken meat and eggs from local poultry farms and private farms.

52 suppliers sell dairy products, including milk, sour cream, and cheeses.

16 family apiaries present natural bee products — honey, wax, propolis and others.

In addition, 16 small businesses offer a range of sausage products, 10 participants sell dried fruits, 17 farmers and home bakeries sell pastries and sweets.

In total, more than 1,000 products are presented at the fairs.

Weekend fairs are a platform for open trade between producers and buyers. The organizer is JSC SEC Almaty.

As part of the price stabilization program, socially significant goods are sold at fairs below market value. Fairs are held from 09:00 to 18:00 in five districts of the city:

Almaly district — Masanchi St. (between Ayteke bi St. and Gogol St.)

Bostandyk district — md. Kazakhfilm (above al-Farabi Ave.)
Medeu district — Mendikulov Boulevard – Bekturova St.
Alatau district: residential complex "Madeniet".

More than 45,000 residents and guests of Almaty visit the fairs every week.
