
As part of the implementation of price stabilization mechanisms for socially important food products in Almaty, JSC SEC Almaty concluded a forward loan agreement with the Magnum Cash&Carry LLP trading network to stabilize prices for potatoes, carrots, onions and cabbage.
10,440 tons of vegetable products will be purchased from agricultural producers in Almaty, Zhambyl, Pavlodar and Karaganda regions, which will be sold in Magnum Cash&Carry supermarkets at fixed discounted retail prices. The price stabilization period will last from September 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026.
Earlier, in March of this year, SEC Almaty and Magnum Cash&Carry signed a loan agreement to stabilize prices for 11 NWFPs with a volume of 606 tons. The list includes buckwheat groats, horns (by weight), rice groats, sunflower oil, kefir 2.5% fat content in soft packaging, butter 72.5% fat content, pasteurized milk 2.5% fat content in soft packaging, chicken meat (hams, thigh), flour of the first grade, beef meat (shoulder-breast part) and salt. The price stabilization period will last from March 2025 to March 2026.
In order to stabilize prices for chicken meat, SEC Almaty also concluded a loan agreement with the poultry farm of Alatau-Kus JSC for the production and sale of products in the amount of 1,818 tons through Alatau-Kus branded stores. The maximum selling price for "ham" and "thigh" from October 2024 to October 2026 on the shelf will be no more than 1,100 tenge per kilogram.
To stabilize egg prices, a loan agreement was signed with the Sary-Bulak Company poultry farm for the production and sale of 86.4 million eggs of the first category in the period from October 2024 to October 2027. The sale of these products is carried out in large retail chains of the city ("Magnum", "Small", "A-store.kz ", "Metro"), through the branded stores "Alatau-Kus", as well as in the stores "at home". The selling price of the manufacturer is 51 tenge per piece, the price on the shelf is with a surcharge of no more than 15%.
Also, to stabilize milk prices, a loan agreement was signed with Kokshetau Dairy Belogorye LLP for the production and sale of 170,000 liters of milk from the Babushkin Luzhok trademark with a price stabilization period of three months - from February to May 2025. The maximum selling price is 348 tenge per liter. Milk is available for purchase through convenience stores.
In order to stabilize prices for granulated sugar, SEC Almaty organized the sale of sugar from a local producer through the Magnum, Small, Toimart, Stolichny, Yubileyny and others retail chains. The products are sold at a fixed selling price of 380 tenge per kilogram with a trade surcharge of no more than 10%. The stabilization measures are in effect from August 2024 to August 2025.
