During the year, meat prices rose by 6.2%, fruits and vegetables – by 9.3%, dairy products – by more than 6%. The reasons for the price increase are related to seasonal factors, increased logistics costs and changes in energy prices. In addition, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, out of more than 156 thousand tons of vegetable stocks, only 45 thousand have been sold, which also affects price dynamics. To regulate the situation, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin instructed the stabilization funds to work more actively on the sale of stocks in order to prevent further price increases.

"Since 2024, we have been taking a set of measures consisting of three areas: the provision of preferential revolving loans, the formation of a stabilization fund and infrastructural support for agricultural producers. As part of the loans, we have contracted vegetable products in the amount of 9,720 tons. Preferential loans were provided to chicken meat producers and chicken egg producers of the first category. SEC Almaty is the operator of weekend fairs in the city. Fairs are held weekly, every Saturday and Sunday in four districts of the city. The participants of the fair are more than 300 commodity producers and farms of the Almaty region and the city of Almaty," said Azizzhan Turganov, Director of the Department of Food Supply and Trade.

There are also 28 social and trade pavilions in Almaty, which are located in all parts of the city. All information about the location and prices in these pavilions and weekend fairs is available on the special website almaty.azyk.kz.
