By the resolution of the Board of Directors of Almaty SEC JSC (the Company), Kanat Balykbayev has been appointed as the Chairman of the Management Board of the Company
He was born in Semey 1980.
Graduated from Karaganda Buketov University with a degree in Jurisprudence (“Lawyer”) and Finance (“Economist”). Passed advanced training courses at the University of Potsdam (Germany). Holds an MBA degree, university - AlmaU.
Over 20 years of work experience in public, quasi-public and private sectors of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2002, he started his professional career in the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies and Competition.
Over the years served in the banking sector, telecommunications industry, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For 7 years led the RSE REM “National Center of Expertise”.
Since the end of 2022 until his current appointment, he was a head of private company.
Speaks Kazakh, Russian and English.
