Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the SEC Almaty became SDG Pioneers award finalist

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of SEC "Almaty," Zoya Kassenova, became a finalist in the debut SDG Pioneers Award in Central Asia in the small and medium business category. The award was organized by the United Nations.

The ceremony in Almaty was dedicated to honoring business leaders who integrate and promote the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact in their organizations.

The SDG Pioneers competition was held for the first time in Central Asia. In addition to representatives from Kazakhstan, leaders from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also participated.

Let us remind you that in 2023, the SEC "Almaty" was the first among the socio-entrepreneurial corporations in Kazakhstan to join the United Nations Global Compact. Participation in the initiative implies compliance with the principles and values of sustainable development in the fields of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.

Note that the UN Global Compact is the world's largest voluntary initiative in the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. To date, it brings together more than 20,000 participants from 160 countries.
