In January–May 2022, products worth 676.3 billion KZT were produced in Almaty, which exceeds last year's figures for the same period by 12.7%. The largest growth is observed in the manufacturing industry – 566.9 billion KZT of products were produced, with an increase of 18.3%.
The increase in volumes was noted:
- In the sphere of production of non–metallic mineral products by 26.8% (27.3 billion KZT, share - 4%)
- Metal products by 44.7% (17.2 billion KZT, the share is 2.5%)
- Furniture by 30% (8.5 billion KZT, share - 1.3%)
- Pharmaceutical products by 9.8% (9.5 billion KZT, share – 1.4%)
- Light industry by 2.4% (6.6 billion KZT, share - 1%)
- Drinks by 2.1% (27.9 billion KZT, share – 4.1%)
- Food products by 1.2% (117 billion KZT, share – 17.3%)
