The Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation Almaty, represented by Ulan Oserbayev, Director of the Project Management Department, took part in the largest forum of the taxi and rental industry in the country - Forum Taxi Kazakhstan 2025.
The forum, organized by the Association of Taxi Companies and Courier Services of the Republic of Kazakhstan (ATKS), brought together more than 1,000 industry participants. The main topics of discussion included electric vehicles, taxi fleet development, and market growth prospects.
Special attention was paid to the development of environmentally friendly transport, primarily electric vehicles. As Ulan Oserbayev noted: "Almaty alone burns 50-70 million liters of gasoline per year. The transition to electric transport is extremely important to reduce the burden on the city's ecology."
In this regard, SEC Almaty, being a key institution for the development of the city, promotes the construction of infrastructure to increase the number of electric vehicles in the metropolis. Thus, as part of the development of electric transport, the corporation is implementing a joint project to install a network of electric charging stations.
SEC Almaty has allocated 311 sites for the installation of EHS. After the commissioning of all stations, 622 new parking spaces for charging electric vehicles will appear in the city. The stations will be installed in places of mass attraction of citizens," Ulan Oserbayev emphasized.
At each site, investors who have passed the competitive selection process will place one EHS with a capacity of 60 kW or more, designed for two parking spaces. The minimum investor's contribution to one site is 10 million tenge, and the cost of 1 kW of charging for the population will not exceed 100 tenge, including VAT. The plots are provided to investors for a period of 4 years with a preferential right of extension.
To date, over 300 EHS systems have been installed on private territories in Almaty. Taking into account the new facilities, the total number of charging stations in the city will exceed 600 units.
