The regional program for the development of entrepreneurship "Almaty Business - 2025" was approved by the Almaty city maslikhat in 2019. One of the key areas of the program was to increase the availability of financing for small and medium-sized businesses. To achieve this goal, subsidiaries of SPK "Almaty" were created - "Almaty Finance" and the microfinance organization "Almaty", which today provide preferential loans for starting, developing and supporting businesses.
Financing is carried out at rates of 2% and 6% per annum for up to 7 years. A rate of 2% applies to projects of socially vulnerable categories of citizens - large and low-income families, disabled people of groups I and II, families raising children with disabilities, as well as residents of small industrial parks. A rate of 6% is provided for start-up and existing SMEs registered and operating in Almaty. The maximum loan amount is 500 million tenge in Almaty Finance and 78.64 million tenge in Almaty MFO. Entrepreneurs use the funds received to purchase equipment, raw materials, replenish working capital and other business purposes.
