An innovative project worth 37.1 billion tenge has been financed in the industrial zone of Almaty for the construction of a new cardboard and paper plant. The uniqueness of the future enterprise lies in the use of recycled waste paper as a raw material, which reduces the burden on the environment and promotes more rational use of natural resources, according to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The project, supported at the state level, includes the construction of a new production complex and the modernization of an existing plant, which will significantly increase the volume of manufactured products, including corrugating paper, cardboard for flat layers of corrugated cardboard and facing cardboard for gypsum board products. As a result of the project, a modern paper and cardboard production line will be launched, equipped with high-tech systems, such as mass preparation units, paper machines, wastewater treatment units and boilers. The construction and installation works are financed in the amount of 12 billion tenge and another 25.1 billion tenge for the acquisition of equipment and special equipment on lease. The mechanism of preferential financing is as follows: the enterprise "Zhasyl Damu" transfers money from the funds collected from the recycling payment to the Industrial Development Fund, which in turn provides KZ Recycling LLP with a loan at 3% per annum for up to 15 years with a payment holiday of up to 2 years.
Thus, this is the largest investment project in Kazakhstan in the sector of processing and production of packaging materials, which will contribute to the creation of new jobs, improvement of the environmental situation and strengthening of the country's position in international "green" markets.
KZ Recycling LLP is the only domestic company with a wide network of representative offices for the collection of waste paper not only throughout Kazakhstan, but also in several cities of Russia.
