Mayor of Almaty Darkhan Satybaldy checked the work of fairs and retail chains as part of the food price stabilization program. During his working trip, Darkhan Satybaldy visited a weekend fair in the MKR. Kazakhfilm and Magnum Cash & Carry supermarket.
The SEC Almaty Fair is open every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 18:00, and features 96 retail outlets for farmers from Enbekshi-Kazakh, Karasai and Ili districts.
Darkhan Satybaldy stressed the importance of supporting domestic producers and creating conditions for farmers, noting that it is planned to modernize fairs to exclude intermediaries.
The mayor also visited Magnum Cash & Carry, the largest chain in Almaty, which sells more than 100,000 tons of goods at discounted prices since 2019. Currently, there is a forward contract for the purchase and sale of 10.4 thousand tons of vegetables, as well as a revolving loan agreement for fixing prices for 11 products.
