A subsidiary of JSC SEC Almaty— MFO Almaty LLP, issued 39 loans totaling 1.8 billion tenge in the first half of this year. As part of the "Almaty Business-2025" program, aspiring and existing entrepreneurs received loans for the development of their business at a discounted rate of 2% and 6%. The funds are allocated for the purchase of equipment, raw materials, replenishment of working capital and other business expenses.
The maximum loan amount in the MFO is 78,640,000 tenge, the loan term is up to 7 years. This year, the largest number of loans were received by entrepreneurs implementing projects in the field of production and processing — 38%. Public service projects are in second place (28%), and healthcare projects are in third place (18%). The projects of education (8%), tourism (5%) and creative economy (3%) are also provided with financing.
"Since the beginning of the MFIs' activities in 2019, 626 projects totaling 15 billion tenge have been financed in the megacity. In terms of districts, the largest number of loans were received by entrepreneurs of Bostandyksky — 135, Alatau — 108 and Almaly districts — 81. 76 projects were supported in Auezovsky district, 74 in Medeu, 61 in Nauryzbay, 47 in Zhetysu, and 44 in Turksib. A total of 2,760 jobs have been created," said Altai Ismagambetov, Chairman of the Board of the MFO Almaty.
