400 tons of meat and vegetables will be sold at the nearest weekend fair in Almaty

318 farmers and agricultural producers of Almaty and Almaty region plan to sell up to 900 tons of food products to the population at the nearest weekend fair in the metropolis.

Among them: 400 tons of vegetables and fruits (potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, beets, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, radish, garlic), 390 tons of meat (beef, lamb, horse meat, pork, chicken), 50 tons of dairy products (milk, kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, cheese), 30 tons of groceries (sugar, salt, rice, buckwheat, horns, flour) and 30 tons of eggs, sausages and honey.

Fairs will be held on May 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday) from 09:00 to 18:00 in four districts of the city:
• Almaly district — Masanchi St. (between Ayteke bi St. and Gogol St.);
• Auezov district — Utegen Batyr St. (below Abai Ave.);
• Bostandyk district — md. Kazakhfilm (above al-Farabi Ave.);
• Medeu district — Mendikulov Boulevard – Bekturova St.

More than 45,000 Almaty residents and visitors visit the fairs every week. There are more than 1,000 food items on the shelves.

The organizer of the fairs is JSC SEC Almaty. As part of price stabilization measures, socially significant products at fairs are sold 15-20% below market value.
