Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan, one of the most modern factories in Kazakhstan, has started operating in the industrial zone of Almaty. It took less than three years from the first piles to the production of cars. The production of three leading Chinese brands - Great Wall Motors, Changan and Chery - is combined under one roof. The uniqueness of the plant is not only in scale, but also in technology. More than 80% of operations are fully automated. 54 robots from Japanese and Swiss manufacturers are involved in the production. The project was made possible thanks to the support of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan. Financing from the bank and the Industrial Development Fund made it possible to build the plant in record time and provide it with modern equipment. The total investment volume exceeded 200 billion tenge.
